STOP 3 | Israel: Ending Quarantine and starting the planning!

I still cannot believe it: after the initial not-so-positive karma, I have just been cleared by the Israeli Ministry of Health (MOH), with first an Hebrew SMS and then and official "Hebrew" letter, that confirmed that my quarantine ended today July 9th.

Translation below:

For privacy reasons, I don't add the remaining documentation. So eventually, it worked out, and I have been amazed by the Israeli IT system. Well, I've come to realization the Italians and Israelis have a lot in common: the only core different is that IL (= Israel/i) is a way more technologically advanced - not as US though - while IT sucks anyhow.

An additional thing I didn't specify is that to sign-up to all the forms/links requested by the Israeli MOH, you had to have an Israeli phone number. Thankfully I was able to rely on Zadarma, paying only 10 USD, to get a working IL number a couple of days before reaching the Holy Land. It was a manna from heaven, as without an IL phone number I wouldn't be able to exit quarantine in less than 24h from landing. It was SO dope!

I was relaxing on my bed watching the Lion King II - and yes, I believe I will cry even at 100y old while watching the Lion King - and I fell asleep.

I woke up after a couple of hours with a lot of SMS to my IL number:

  1. First one mentioning the result of the PCR test, that was negative
  2. Second one mentioning the result of the Serologic test, what was positive and will allow me to exit quarantine.
I was so asleep that I got confused and for a couple of seconds I got shocked when reading "your test result is negative, this will not change any isolation status for you". But this was referred to the PCR status. I texted the Lab Lady who helped me with booking and organizing the test, sending a screenshot of what I got (totally in Hebrew) and she confirmed I was free. She also sent me my serologic test results and within a couple of mins I also received the official letter from MOH - still in Hebrew.

I finally spent about 3h in planning my Saturday's (July 10th) activities to explore Tel Aviv (and probably Jerusalem next weekend), while on Sunday the Archaeologic dig will start for me. Cannot believe it, still! I missed the celebrations for the last season of this camp, but I really hope I can spend there two wonderful weeks.
