Interregnum STOPS 4 and 5 | Cleansed, meeting "friends" at the airport on the road to Canary Islands!

Dedicated to the Help Seekers, as it's braver to ask for help than to accept it!

I reached Faro airport earlier on purposed, as I was planning to meet Marcello. Marcello can be designed as a "friend" of mine; he is more a spiritual mentor, who has been guiding me since 2013.

I know, I need to shave...

He happened to be around Faro and we agreed to meet for a coffee. It was so nice to see him in person after more than 3 years. We got the chance to update on our current "lives" and to talk a bit about the craziness around the pandemic as well, about which we share same perspectives.

The only worth-mentioning happenings are related to my losses:

  • After the losses at Stops #1 and #2 (see blog post: Interregnum STOPS 2 and 3 | On the move), at Stop #3 I lost my dark blue mask. I do know if it's somewhere in my baggages, but don't find it anymore.
  • at Stop #4 I did not really lose something, however I had to give up at Faro Airport security my precious water bottle: it was amazing, with a cap lock and contained 750ml of liquids. I forgot it full of water and in order to retain it, I had to go all the way back - out from the airport security area - empty it and do the security control again. I was not in a rush, however I had so many things with me that the idea of going out and in again gave me headache already. So I gave it up, RIP...
So the prophecy of loosing something at every stop still holds true...

Faro airport is pretty small so I was not able to find any bracelets unfortunately (I will buy it online at some point probably, together with Stop #1, Philly, which I can ask Olga to sent it to me once back in San Francisco).

Both flights (FAO > MAD and MAD > FUE) were pretty smooth, I just had the chance to keep reading this book, bought in Philadelphia, which is not mind-blowing but easy to read and relaxing. Between the two flights, I just spent 3 hours in the VIP Lounge in Madrid and kept living a Mottola's life ☺.

After landing, it took me about 1h to reach the hotel.
